Description: James Jeffrey Binney, FRS, FInstP (born 1950) is a British astrophysicist. He is currently a Professor of Physics at the University of Oxford, where he is head of the Sub-Department of Theoretical Physics as well as a Professorial Fellow at Merton College. Binney is known principally for his work in theoretical galactic and extragalactic astrophysics, but he has made a number of contributions to areas outside of astrophysics as well.

In this series of physics lectures, Profersor J.J. Binney explains how probabilities are obtained from quantum amplitudes, why they give rise to quantum interference, the concept of a complete set of amplitudes and how this defines a “quantum state”.

The series consists of 27 lectures of about 45 mins per lecture. I have partitioned the 27 total lectures into 3 sets of 9 lectures each due to their file sizes.
